Thumb

The Kutch region boasts several river canyons across its terrain and ‘The Thumb’ is inspired by a rock formation in the canyon of the Khari Nadi. The raw and bold texture of the vase depicts the patinated landscape here, and the copper holder slices through it as a vase. The holder pays homage to the metal poles used to fan and intensify flames on the stoves in the indigenous homes.
